What we can help with
- A figure here that does not match cao.ie or a college’s own page. Tell us the page and the number and we fix it, normally the same day.
- A result from one of the calculators that looks wrong for your grades.
- A guide you would like to see, or a question you could not find an answer to.
- Press and research requests about CAO points and college entry in Ireland.
What we cannot help with
This is an independent site. We have no access to the CAO, no view of your application and no way to change an offer. For your own application:
- CAO: phone 091 509 800, or the Contact Us button on cao.ie.
- How offers are decided, HEAR and DARE criteria, entry requirements: the admissions, access or disability office of the college. CAO itself plays no part in admission decisions.
- Leaving Cert results and appeals: the State Examinations Commission. Our appeals guide explains the process.
Who you are writing to
PointsCalculator.ie is run by Avlas Digital, a sole trader in Ireland (registered business name No. 793798, Companies Registration Office). We are not affiliated with the CAO, the SEC or any college. How we handle your email is described in the privacy policy, and how we check our figures on how we check.
