What this site is
PointsCalculator.ie turns your Leaving Cert grades into CAO points instantly, including the 25 bonus points for Higher Maths, LCVP link modules and Foundation level rules. Alongside the counter there are guides to CAO key dates, how offers work and the appeals process.
It was built because students checking results-day scores deserve something faster than paging through PDF tables.
Where the data comes from
The points scale is the official CAO common points scale, and dates come from the published CAO timetable at cao.ie.
How it stays accurate
An automated watcher checks the CAO timetable every Monday, so when a new application cycle is announced the dates on this site get corrected quickly.

PointsCalculator.ie is a personal project, built and maintained by an independent web developer. It is free to use and not affiliated with any government body or official organisation. The tools here are provided for convenience; for decisions that matter, always confirm with the official source.
